Robert Unterköfler

Robert Unterköfler is an Austrian saxophonist, composer and educator. Besides the saxophone as his main-instrument, he also plays clarinet, flute & electronic wind instruments.

Robert began his jazz studies at the Konservatorium Klagenfurt. He holds a Bachelor degree from the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien and also studied in Groningen and Rotterdam. He holds a masters degree in Music Education from JamLab University, which was part of the Ö1 Jazzstipendium he won in 2018.

Robert has been honoured to collaborate with musicians such as Valentin Duit, Ivar Roban KrižićChristopher Pawluk, Robin Gadermaier, Tobias MeisslDavid Dornig, Michael MooreWerner Feldgrill, Amina Bouroyen, Erik Asatrian, Alan Bartuš and Christian Muthspiels Orjazztra and is part of the trio slowklang. His most recent projects are his solo project sidrat and a collaboration with Nina Feldgrill called r i v e r.
